It's simple, lightweight, doesn't take up valuable air volume in the bag, and controls moisture at least as well, if not better. Since I went back to it, I have had little or no problem with moisture anywhere except of course on the blowpipe itself.
The bag works beautifully and the seals are very tight. The bass drone seems to be angled too far toward my head and when I rotate the bag to straighten it out the chanter rests at too sharp an angle off vertical.
This may be just my preference or body build but it took some getting used to. Good directions and video. Very easy to change over. Overall I am very pleased with the performance of the bag so far. It has two primary faults. This would be find except it doesn't put the mouthpiece anywhere near your mouth. The prevalence of these bags is probably responsible for all the blowpipes coming out with ball and socket joints to get around the blowstick angle problem.
